With the number of mHealth apps pegged at over 318,000 (nearly double the number of apps available just three years ago), it’s not enough to offer assessments and advice. Winning apps in this category have to be a personal health companion. AI is also a plus. Ada wins on both counts, using a conversational interface is designed to help users work out the symptoms they have and then follow up on remote consultation with a real doctor. Our host Peggy Anne Salz catches up with Marvin Rottenberg, Ada VP of Marketing, to talk about the evolution of the app from doctor-facing telemedicine app to something akin to an AI-powered doctor. They also discuss the company’s expansion plans, performance goals and mission to democratize access to personal health care.
