Global Entry App Now Available in More Airports

U.S. Border App Expanded

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has expanded its Global Entry app to more airports, streamlining the arrival process for trusted travelers. This innovative technology allows members of CBP’s Trusted Traveler Programs to complete their entry procedures while still on the plane, bypassing traditional portals and reducing wait times significantly.

Enhancing Traveler Experience at Airports

Troy A. Miller, CBP’s Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Commissioner, emphasized CBP’s commitment to enhancing the arrival process for trusted travelers. “CBP officers are often the first to welcome trusted travelers when they arrive home, and we want to continue to find ways to improve that experience through new technologies and innovations while maintaining the highest levels of security,” said Miller. This initiative underscores CBP’s dedication to speed, accuracy, and security in traveler processing.

How the App Works

Global Entry App

Travelers can download the Global Entry app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Once landed, Global Entry members can complete their entry processing before leaving the plane. This process allows them to bypass the Global Entry kiosks and proceed directly to a CBP officer for final processing.

This expansion marks a significant step towards making travel more efficient and secure for trusted travelers.
